    Botanic Name : Achillea millefolium Asteraceae

    According to the legend told by Pliny, roman naturalist from the 1st century AD, its name comes from Achilles, hero of the greek mythology wounded during the battle of Troy, whom used it to heal his wounds and those of his soldiers. Yarrow was therefore also called « Soldier's woundwort ».

    Yarrow heals digestive problems, stops cramps after meals and favours the elimination of toxins. Soothes menstrual pain. Ideal against inflammation. It also helps the body's natural defense against infections, and stops nosebleeds.

    During the Middle-Ages, Garlic Mustard dried leaves were sometimes snorted, as we did later with tobacco. It used to be taken to fight against bronchitis, asthma and eczema, and in external application, it soothes minor wounds, helped to mend slow healing skin problems, rheumatisms and gout.

    Garlic Mustard has a slight effect on the automatic protection of the body. Rich in pro-vitamin A and vitamin C. Traditionnally used against rheumatisms, asthma and gout. Known to have a healing effect for the mouth, as a gargle .

    Botanic Name : Crataegus laevigata Rosaceae

    Known to the doctors of Antic Greece, Hawthorn is also used in traditionnal Chinese medecine, especially against cardiovascular troubles. Nowadays, the plant is more fashionable in Europe , particularly in Germany, in Austria and in Switzerland, where it is used in medical preparations.

    Traditionnally, Hawthorn is used against heart problems, it helps the heart weakened with age. During menopause, it is recommended to fight against hot flashes, palpitations cold sweats. Also used to facilitate peaceful night sleeps.

    During the Middle Ages, Europeans used Burdock to combat skin and bladder problems.

    In Antiquity and the Middle Ages, Borage was used as an aphrodisiac, and even as a tonic and energising drug. Traces of these practices can be found in Europe and Asia Minor. Its flowers and leaves have long been used in cooking, to garnish salads.
