The name of Stinging nettle comes from the latin urtica derived from the word uro, « to burn », referring to its stinging hairs. The Stinging Nettle has been used in herbal therapy during centuries. Evidence of its medicinal use has been found since ancient times.
The Stinging nettle brings energy and stimulates the immune defense system. Rich in vitamins, in minerals and in iron, it helps with eliminating water as well as toxins. It is known to prevent blood clotting and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

Preparation suggestions :
For one cup, add the equivalent of one to three teaspoons of Stinging nettle powder, then pour in boiling water. Leave to infuse for less than 5 minutes, depending on the desired taste. Sweeten your infusion with a little honey.
Precautions of use :
Stinging nettle tisane is harmless, but drinking litres every day is not recommended. It is not recommended for : pregnant women – women who breastfeed - infants. It is also not recommended for people with asthma and for people suffering from heart and kidney problems. The Stinging Nettle can irritate . Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
