Botanic Name : Corylus avellana Betulaceae
"Corylus" is derived from the greek word "corus", helmet, because of the involucre that covers the fruit. The name "Hazel" appeared during the 16th century. The latin name, Corylus avellana, evokes the mountainous region of Avellino, in Italy, where there is a lot of Hazel.
The common hazelnut tree combats cell ageing, which is why it is effective against rheumatism. Its soothing effect prevents mental fatigue and stress. It facilitates digestion and helps to fight against bad cholesterol.

Preparation suggestions :
For one litre of water, add the equivalent of one to three teaspoons of hazelnut powder and then pour in the boiling water. Leave to infuse for less than 5 minutes, depending on the desired taste. Sweeten your infusion with a little honey.
