In Antiquity and the Middle Ages, Borage was used as an aphrodisiac, and even as a tonic and energising drug. Traces of these practices can be found in Europe and Asia Minor. Its flowers and leaves have long been used in cooking, to garnish salads.
Borage is a plant with various virtues. It is used as a detoxifier and slightly laxative. Its properties are also known to promote breathing and combat coughing. It also relieves contractures linked to repetitive movements and allows sweating. Gives back energy.

Preparation suggestions :
For one litre of water, add the equivalent of one to three teaspoons of Borage powder and then pour in the boiling water. Leave to infuse for less than 5 minutes, depending on the desired taste. Sweeten your infusion with a little honey.
Precautions of use :
Borage tea is safe, but taking litres every day is not recommended. It is not recommended for: pregnant women - nursing mothers - young children.
